Netspace Australia no longer charging for UPLOADS

By: (more) | Posted: Sep 13, 2002 6:15 am

This may come as a shock to some of our readers in other parts of the world, but I'm thrilled to say that Netspace (a large broadband Internet provider in Australia, and my provider) are no longer going to be charging for the uploading of data for all of their ADSL plans. I just confirmed this after getting off the phone with one of their tech support guys. This is great news, maybe other Internet providers will follow suit - Some, one day, may even do the same for downloads (we wish) but at least this is a start.

As of today, Friday 6th September 2002, Netspace announces that uploads are now free to HomeADSL and SOHO ADSL customers. This will affect all customer usage from the current billing period - any excess usage calculated from today onwards will only include downloads in that billing period.
