Temple Run finally available on Google Play

By: (more) | Apps News | Posted: Mar 27, 2012 4:25 pm

Everyone remember that game that everyone was talking about just a few months ago? Well, it's now available on Android's Google Play. Android users can now experience what it's like to be running through a forest, trying to escape from a temple. The game is simple, but ridiculously addictive at the same time.

"We are excited to finally share the Android release date with our fans who have been so enthusiastic and supportive of Temple Run," said Keith Shepherd, co-founder of Imangi Studios, the game's developer. "By expanding to more mobile devices, we hope to provide the same addictive and fast-paced gameplay to an entirely new group of players."

The game play is simple and intuitive. You can jump, slide, lean, and turn, and that's about the upper limit of controls. The game features and RPG-style upgrade system, where you spend coins you collect in game to upgrade the power ups and unlock new characters. The game will take about 26MB and is totally worth it. I highly recommend you go download it now!
