Nokia 808 PureView smartphone, sports 41-megapixel camera
Yes, that's 41, forty-one, four-plus-one (and not NVIDIA's Tegra 3 SoC 4-PLUS-1). Nokia have announced the Nokia 808 PureView, a new smartphone which features a 41-megapixel camera, capable of 7152x5368-pixel shots.
Spec-wise, it's not that great in the other areas: a 4.0-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 360x640, a 1.3GHz single-core ARM 11 chip, 512MB RAM, 16GB internal storage, microSD upgradeable, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, and weighs in at just 169g.
Surprisingly, it does not feature Windows Phone 7 as its OS. Considering Nokia more-or-less went "all-in" with Microsoft and Windows Phone, it's a huge surprise. The OS featured? Nokia's Bell OS.
