RumorTT: Apple iPad 3 to launch in the first week of March

RumorTT: Just 3 weeks until the Apple iPad 3 launches

It's not like I've ever posted a RumorTT post, or talked about the iPad 3 that much. I mean, seriously, is the iPad 3 not one of the most talked about, but still not here yet, gadgets, ever?

Now the latest news coming from AllThingsD is that Apple are planning to hold an event in March, to launch their next-generation iPad. "Sources" say the company have chosen the first week of mark to unleash to successor to the super-popular iPad 2, and will do so at one of their trademark special events. You know, the ones where the words "magical", "revolutionary", and "we've done it again", get used over and over.

There's no exact date for the iPad 3 hitting retail shelves or the Apple Store, but we should expect the previously-rumored high-res 2048x1536 Retina Display, or something that it is at least close to it. What do you think? Will the iPad 3 be good enough to push the Ice Cream Sandwich-based tablets away? Or the unreleased next-gen Samsung Galaxy tablets, which haven't gotten their ICS upgrades yet? Or the new high-res ASUS Transformer Prime?
