Battlefield 3 passes 10 million mark, FIFA 12 also achieves the same milestone

In their latest financial call, EA have confirmed that blockbuster titles, Battlefield 3 and FIFA 12 have both passes the 10 million sales milestone since launch. Battlefield 3 launched in October last year, FIFA 12 launched a month earlier in September.

These are some great numbers, and shows that when developers sit down and make a great game (Battlefield 3 for example), that people will buy it. Yes you're going up against the "zomg it's another COD game, we must have it, my preccciooouuussss," that means diddly squat when it comes to the super-intense, hyper-real Battlefield 3.

Now we need an announcement of a next-generation Battlefield 4, PC-exclusive. Split Battlefield 3 into "Battlefield: Bad Company 3" and have it multi-platform. DICE/EA, you would be a pioneer and reinvigorate a dying enthusiast/DX11 gaming market. You could be the new id/Epic with graphics engines since they've sold their souls to consoles.
