Netflix jumps the pond, announces UK, Ireland launch
Netflix is enjoyed by quite a lot of people and now it has launched in the United Kingdom and Ireland, officially. Streaming the Netflix catalog of entertainment costs just 5.99 pounds or 6.99 euros per month.
Residents can queue for a one month free trial on the website right now and when it launches, it won't just work on PCs, but a bunch of gaming consoles, Blu-ray players from LG, Samsung Smart TV, iOS and Android-based phones as well as smart TV adaptors from Philips, Western Digital and Roku.

Content wise, it sources from a slew of companies such as All3Media, the BBC, CBS, Channel 4's 4oD, Disney UK & Ireland, ITV, Lionsgate UK, MGM, Miramax, Momentum Pictures, NBCUniversal, Paramount, Sony Pictures Entertainment, Twentieth Century Fox and Viacom International Media Networks.
It also includes Open Graph Facebook tie-ins that are featured in the Latin America service, but held back in the US due to regulatory concerns. So, if you're based in the UK or Ireland, hit up the Netflix site, now!
