The blower is housed in a very sturdy metal structure. It is constructed in such a way that air is being sucked through the long rectangular ventilation holes and the back of the blower. The air is then blown out off a very constrained space at a high pressure, creating a long, steady, narrow flow of air. Having air blown at high pressure is definitely not a bad thing at all.
