Treyarch prepping new Call of Duty game

By: (more) | Gaming News | Posted: Dec 9, 2011 5:33 am

Say what you want about Call of Duty, but it's a near unstoppable juggernaut of a game. Graphically, Battlefield 3 may better it, but it doesn't stop the production of yet another COD game being thrown into production.

Even during the Infinity Ward drama, they managed to pump out a game - even if it may have included virtually the same graphics and even some buildings that were featured in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Through all of this, Treyarch have job offerings, which would lead us to believe there will be another COD game coming out in 2012.

A number of positions are open, including a Gameplay Combat Designer and a Scripter. During the production of COD: Black Ops, studio head Mark Lamia said the team is, "100-percent Call of Duty studio." There are no details on the new game, but expect it to be virtually the same as what we have now, but a new campaign, maybe some new modes and hopefully by then COD: Elite for PC is fully-featured and alive.
