After the dismal results of the original Volcano heatsink, thermaltake has gone back and tried to do it right. To see if they succeeded, just head on over to Cool Hardwarez and check out their latest review of the Thermaltake Volcano 6Cu+ HSF. here's a snip:

"it's been quite a long time since my previous review on the Thermaltake Dragon Orb 3. So, I got my hands grubby (to say the least) and bring you a review on the Thermaltake's latest cooler into their generation of Volcanic heatsinks, the Volcano 6Cu+. What they state on their website and on the box (the one which kept your cooler..) is that it has a copper base. The only truth about that statement is the base of the cooler which touches the core of your processor is indeed made of copper but not the whole of the base. In the middle of the aluminium base is where the circular copper base is located."
