N.I.T.R.O. Water Cooled Case Review

By: (more) | Posted: Aug 17, 2002 11:45 pm

Club Overclocker takes a look at Overclockers Hideout's N.I.T.R.O. Water Cooled case.

Computers and processors are a lot like the weather, they keep getting hotter every year! Over the years we have tried everything to cool our computers including liquid nitrogen and good old tap water. However, every time we build up enough courage to try something new, disaster strikes or the experimental machine we build just isn't as reliable as we had hoped. Each time we fail, we go right back to the standard air cooling we all know and love. The only bad part about air cooling is that it can only do so much. With air cooling, we keep adding bigger and more powerful fans and at the same time our computers keep getting louder and louder. I myself have even scaled back my cooling fans a tad bit just to lower noise levels. Unfortunately, when you scale back cooling, you must also scale back your overclocking and nobody wants to do that. So what's there left to do? You do exactly what every inventor has done since the discovery of fire, "build a better mousetrap". In this case, build a more efficient cooling system.
