Corsair rolls out the Carbide Series 400R budget friendly mid tower

Now shipping for 99 bucks.

Catering to the more budget conscious builders, Corsair has just launched a new mid-tower chassis with an associated price tag of just $99.

The Carbide Series 400R from Corsair looks to give a good balance of features and typical innovative Corsair thinking considering the aforementioned price point it is confined to. We've got a steel structured chassis here with that lovely all-black (inside and out) paint job. Being a mid tower, it can accomodate both mATX and full sized ATX motherboards.

Its front I/O panel gives convenient access to two USB 3.0 ports, a FireWire port and a pair of audio ports. The case has four 5.25-inch bays and room for six 3.5 or 2.5-inch drives internally. Cooling is handled via three 120mm fans out of the box; two mounted at the front and one at the rear. There are also fan mounting locations at the top and on the side panel to help increase airflow further.

As mentioned, Corsair is shipping the Carbide Series 400R for $99 US with a two year warranty.
