System Builders Guides (SBG) get some updates

By: (more) | Computer Systems News | Posted: Sep 5, 2011 8:49 pm

We just got done updating all three of our SBG systems. Starting off with the TweakTown Sub-lieutenant PC ($1000 USD) it gets a new CPU cooler in the form of the Xigmatek Gaia and due to popular request, we have got rid of the old HDD and replaced it with a 7200 RPM spinning drive from Western Digital.

Moving onto the TweakTown Commander PC ($2000 USD) we see the addition of new SSDs. Before we were using older SATA II drives, now we have made way for two new Corsair Force Series 3 SF-2200 SATA III SSDs in RAID 0. These drives even when not in RAID offer great performance for the price.

And finally we finish up with the TweakTown Admiral PC (Unlimited Cost) which gets an additional 3TB hard drive for increasing storage demands as well as the top-end sound card from ASUS, the Xonar Xense.
