HP to exit PC business, WebOS gets final nail in the coffin

HP has announced that its board of directors has authorized the evaluation of strategic alternatives for its Personal Systems Group (PSG), including the exploration of the separation of its PC business into a separate company through a spin-off or other transaction.
Is this news a result of the Google-Motorola combination? The continuing dominance of the fruit-logo smashing of Apple? The decline in PC sales? Are HP going to just sell printers from now on?
