Google+ adds games section with Angry Birds and many more

By: (more) | Social Networking News | Posted: Aug 12, 2011 1:07 pm

Google's got the gaming bug as of today with the launch of a new games section. There's a stack of decently mixed up titles already available to help reel in folks and spend more time on its social project.

By clicking on a button at the top of your stream, you'll get to the list of titles now on offer, including some bigtime favourites like Angry Birds as well as being able to get info on game updates from circles, invites from friends, titles being played by your contacts and a shared high scores system to add to the competitive, addictive nature of the section.

Google says it's still in the process of rolling out the games page to everyone, so some of you might not yet see it, but it should be a quick rollout and you'll be able to let your fb farms wither away in favour of a new lease of life on the other side.
