Chromium OS tablet UI caught on video

Google Chromium tablet UI caught on video

| Mobile Devices, Tablets & Phones News | Posted: Aug 10, 2011 3:00 am

On their quest to rule the world, Google are still pumping away at their Chromium OS and Engadget has found themselves a video of an experimental version of Chromium OS specially tuned for tablet touch screens and big fingers, the video is below.

As you can see, the UI has large buttons, a pop-out, Android-style keyboard with a speech-input button, big icons above tabs (for easier clicking) and very large menus. It looks quite close to Android 3.x. What is the future of Android as a mobile/smartphone OS if Chromium is looking to tap the same style? Only time will tell.
