Listings of ASUS' Eee PC X101 MeeGo-powered netbook have started showing up on U.S. etail sites with pricing that starts at just $199.73 - thanks to the use of the zippy little MeeGo operating system pre-installed on it.

We first sighted this very sleek, slim little netbook (weighing no more than 900g and being only 17.6mm at its thickest point) at Computex last month and really liked what we saw.

Running back over the specs, the Eee PC X101-EU17-BK listed features a 10.1-inch display with 1024x600 native resolution, an Atom N435 CPU (1.33GHz), 1GB of RAM, 8GB SSD, 0.3 megapixel webcam, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, microSD card slot and a 3-cell 2600 mAh battery.

Both the MeeGo and Windows 7 based Eee PC X101 netbooks should be readily available at many outlets early to mid next month.
