App of the Day: Google+ (iPhone)

By: (more) | Apps News | Posted: Jul 19, 2011 4:16 pm

Our TweakTown App of the Day today is Google+ for iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4 with iOS 3.1 or later.

Google+ feels like it has been around forever, but the new social networking site by the giants of search has only been online for a few short weeks. First came the Android app (naturally) and now comes the app designed for the iPhone. Go grab it while it's hot - as a note, I tried searching for it and it didn't show up since it's very early in the game. You may have to follow a URL to the app page from your phone or iTunes.

Google+ for mobile makes sharing the right things with the right people a lot simpler. Huddle lets you send super-fast messages to the people you care about most. And no matter where you are, the stream lets you stay in the loop about what your friends are sharing and where they're checking in.

Features:

* Circles let you share the right things with just the right people.

* Stream is where you can get updates from your circles or see what people are saying about things nearby.

* Huddle is super-fast group messaging for everyone in your circles.

Google+ is only available for users 13 and older.
