Corsair boosts overclocking potential with Dominator GT 1.5v 2133MHz 8GB kit

By: (more) | RAM News | Posted: Jul 19, 2011 4:36 pm

Corsair has injected its impressive Dominator GT series of DDR3 modules with a shiny new 8GB DDR3-2133MHz dual channel kit today, capable of running at said speed using just 1.5v - this is with stock timings of CL 9-11-9.

Given the super low voltage, this makes the kit very attractive for overclockers with plenty of headroom. The kit uses Corsair's iconic DHX+ heatsinks and will come bundled with the AirFlow 2 GTL Cooling Fan to help really push the memory north without the issue of heat buildup limiting your overclock.

The kit, codenamed CMT8GX3M2A2133C9 is backed by Corsair's lifetime warranty and can be purchased directly off their site very soon at $499 USD.
