Amazon has just started listing a new iteration of Acer's Aspire One netbook, dubbed the "Aspire One Happy 2"; denoted as the second gen version under the "Happy" prefix.
The Aspire One Happy 2 is continues to be based on the Pine Trail platform with a 1.66GHz Atom N570 processor and comes in a large variety of colour options with four new ones added into the mix - Papaya Milk, Strawberry Yogurt, Blueberry Shake and Banana Cream - hungry now? Acer have made a few other little adjustments to the design of the Happy 2 series as well, such as the textured liquid 'water ripples' pattern on the display lid.
QUickly running over the rest of the specs, the Happy 2 uses a 10.1-inch CrystalBrite LED-backlit LCD with a native resolution of 1024x600, GMA 3150 IGP, 1GB of RAM, a 250GB HDD, SD card slot, Gigabit LAN, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, 0.3 megapixel webcam and a 3 or 6-cell battery with reported 4 and 8 hrs battery life respectively.
The Happy 2 Series ships with both Windows 7 Starter edition and Office Starter 2010 pre-installed, with the 3-cell model shifting for as low as $270 and the 6-cell up to $300 USD.
