Griffin's Beacon for iOS, turns your iPhone or iPad into a universal remote

By: (more) | Mobile Devices News | Posted: Jun 17, 2011 1:12 am

Griffin's Beacon is an alternative to those universal remotes in the wild, with this new device controlled by Dijit's remote control app takes your iPhone or iPad's Bluetooth signal and converts it to IR and then transmits signals to your A/V gear. The Beacon has some tricks up its sleeves, allowing you to "Add a Device", "Add an Activity" or "Learn a Command" all through your iOS-powered device.

Not bad for $80. Available from Griffin's website or an Apple Store today.
