No DDR400 support from VIA's new KT400 chipset

| CPUs, Chipsets & SoCs News | Posted: Aug 2, 2002 4:39 pm

Now correct me if I'm wrong but would you not expect DDR400 support from a chipset which names suggest it does? Reading over at VIA Hardware I noticed a story at X-bit Labs saying that VIA's new KT400 chipset will NOT have support for DDR400 memory operations. This is a bit of a concern especially since all the rumors of a possible FSB increase by AMD for future Athlon XP processors and the fact that DDR400 would be able to be utilized quite well.
