Dry-All Kit Gives First Aid For Soaked Portables

I don't know if this has happened to you, but it's happened to me at least 4 times: phone gets wet and then very, very dead. People tell you rice, hair dryers, and all sorts of kooky home remedies, but unless you're really lucky you generally just end up buying a new phone. If your insurance deductible is greater than $100, it probably works out for you as these kits run about $50.

 

 

One time I left an old Nokia phone next to a blow up mattress while camping. The dampness in the air alone shorted that thing out. Then there was the time I went skinny-dipping at 3am and my LG flip-phone fell out of my pocket into the sand. When I realized I had left it on the beach, I drove back immediately, only to find it sitting at the tide-line, waves gently lapping it. Then my Blackberry got treated to a Pina Colada shower at a restaurant one night. Man, I might go order one of these now......
