EA To Broadcast E3 Press Conference On Spike TV

By: (more) | Trade Shows News | Posted: May 24, 2011 11:40 pm

Electronic Arts announced today that they will be broadcasting their press conference, live from, ah, Spike TV of all places. You all remember Spike TV, right? It used to be called TNN and only showed reruns and the Grand Ol' Opry? And then it turned into something resembling a bastard child of the NASCAR channel and G4? Yeah, well, that's where EA's press conference is going to be, June 6th, 12:30PM PDT.

EA has already stated they're going to be showing a new Battlefield 3 Demo, gameplay from Mass Effect 3 (sick!) and "news on unannounced projects." So if you have American cable, tune your Tivo to Spike- otherwise...well, I'm sorry you don't have Spike TV?

Also, kids: please don't confuse Spike TV with the Spice Channel (not a food network).

We're pleased to share the news that EA's E3 press conference will be broadcast live this year on Spike TV. The live commercial-free broadcast will begin on Monday, June 6th at 12:30 PM PT/3:30 PM EST.

GameTrailers TV's Geoff Keighley will host the show and trust us, it's one you are not going to want to miss. We'll be revealing a new action-packed Battlefield 3 demo, an exclusive gameplay video from Mass Effect 3, new information on Star Wars: The Old Republic, a first look at FIFA 12, new features in Madden NFL 12, a SSX world-premiere, and blistering footage from Need for Speed: The Run. Breaking news on other unannounced projects is also set to be unveiled in Spike's hour-long broadcast, so stay tuned.

EA.com will be live-streaming Spike's broadcast in high-definition, so if you're not near a TV make sure to stop by our site. We will also be frequently updating EA.com with new E3 information, so be sure to check back often!
