Intel's Sandy Bridge-based Pentium processors go on sale early
Intel's Sandy Bridge-based Pentium processors have gone on sale ahead of the launch, with customers able to get their paws on them early. Several retailers are listing the processors on their sites, with the four new Pentium chips going along side a new Core i3 model also. The CPUs aren't that high-end, but it marks an interesting turn bringing the great Pentium name back to the shelves. Various chips are released from the Pentium G620 to the G850.

There's also the new Core i3-2105 which is the first Core i3-based chip to feature Intel HD graphics 3000, this means it's capable of twice as many execution units than the 2000 series IGP and at only $17 more than the Core i3 2100, it's not a bad move if you want that faster graphics processing included.
