Thecus ready to bang their 10Gbit BASE-T NAS hammer at Computex

By: (more) | Storage News | Posted: May 16, 2011 6:33 am

Thecus are set to debut their Sandy Bridge-powered, 10Gbit Ethernet NAS lines at Computex. The new 8-bay N8900 is powered by an Intel dual-core i3 2120 @ 3.3GHz with 12-bay and 16-bay models flowing through also. The N12000PRO and N16000PRO will feature Intel's Bromolow architecture, powered by quad-core Xeon E1280's @ 3.5GHz. All I've got to say is "DO WANT".

The new 10G BASE-T NAS systems from Thecus also feature High Availability NAS cloning which is the first 100-percent available NAS environment which Thecus guarantee will provide no breaks or delays in service in rain, shine or Armageddon (now that's a big call!). This function is available over 10G BASE-T Ethernet for instantaneous heartbeat synchronization. The new NAS series will be on display to give users a first-hand look at one of the best home/SMB NAS products on the market.
