DC Universe MMO Makes Up For SOE Issues

By: (more) | Gaming News | Posted: May 4, 2011 6:00 am

AS we all know, Sony has had a tough few weeks. Whether it's their PlayStation Network being attacked by a hacker and subsequently shut down, or essentially shutting down their Sony Online Entertainment network for fear that there had been an intrusion- this is starting to have some pretty serious ramifications, for instance the numerous DC Universe MMO users currently unable to access their beloved game.

Which is why Sony is giving all DCU players some cool Batman SWAG. The above Batman-inspired mask (players use custom created characters as opposed to the actual characters, hence the "inspired") comes in both male and female versions, the coolest headgear that, well, everyone will be wearing when the SOE is back online.

Speaking of which, Sony is offering current subscribers an automatic 30-day credit for their troubles, and on top of all of that, one free day for every day that the DC Universe Online was down and out.

Please bear with us as the complexities of the subscription server dictate how and when this will be available along with pertinent details. We will be releasing more information this week. Thanks again for your patience!

No, Sony. Thank you.
