Noritake Graphic VFD Review

By: (more) | Posted: Jul 29, 2002 10:51 am

BiT-Tech takes a good look at Noritake's graphic VFD which has a display area of 126 pixels long by 32 pixels high but small enough to easily fit in a 5.25" bay.

'I think it is fair to say that this display is pretty amazing, and I don't say this lightly. This is; the best looking display I've ever used, the fastest, it has a nice sized screen capable of a good resolution, it fits in a single bay insert, it is easy to connect and control, for users wanting an easy life it delivers (excusing the small amount of soldering needed) and for those wanting bags of advanced features and a toy to play with for a fair while it also delivers. In fact it is pretty hard to say anything bad about this display, the only thing lacking is software to take full advantage of everything that this display is capable of.
