LCD Monitor Teardown - explanation of how it works
Bit of a random video here, but very interesting nonetheless. "engineerguyvideo" (aka Bill) tears an LCD monitor apart and shows how it works behind the scenes. He explains how it uses liquid crystals, thin film transistors and polarizers to display information.
The video runs for around 5 minutes but should show you how an LCD monitor works, it's quite amazing once you watch it being taken apart (and back together again) piece by piece!
