G.Skill snipe competition with new Sniper Series RAM

By: (more) | RAM News | Posted: Mar 18, 2011 10:48 am

There seems to be a theme over the recent months with military style gaming gear. We've got the latest Killer series from Gigabyte and the new ASUS P67 Sabertooth that sports what essentially looks like a massive heatsink over the whole motherboard.

Expanding upon much loved series like the Ripjaws and RipjawsX, we see the new Sniper series which aims at the gaming and modding enthusiast. Available in black and metallic green, this unique gun styled heatsink makes it the next weapon of choice in your PCs arsenal.

Available from next week we'll see kits ranging from 1333MHz DDR to 1866MHz DDR with a default voltage ranging from 1.25v to 1.6v. With 8 different speed kits hitting the market that offer support for AMDs AM3 chipset and Intels P55, P67, H61, H67 and X58, there's going to be a set for you.

Keep an eye out for a review on the new series as G.Skill has confirmed they've pulled the trigger on sending us a kit of the new series.

Make sure you check out the full press release to have a look at the speeds and timings G.Skill will be offering us.
