LSI's Ultra320 High Performance SCSI Card and Seagate 15k rpm Hard Drive Combo

| Storage News | Posted: Jul 24, 2002 1:51 pm

GotApex? has just reviewed LSI's Ultra320 High Performance SCSI Card and Seagate 15k rpm Hard Drive Combo for those who want speed.

What really grabs the attention is the 3.6ms Average Seek Time. When looking at SCSI drives, especially the 15k drives, you really notice that there is a massive difference between SCSI and IDE. Many people do not believe this transfers directly into real life applications, but I do disagree. You can really tell the difference, just in the overall responsiveness of the computer when you have a SCSI drive.
