INQ to offer pair of Facebook social mobile phones

Facebook phones inbound

| Mobile Devices News | Posted: Feb 11, 2011 4:00 pm

We have been hearing grumblings for a long time now that say Facebook phones are incoming. INQ has announced that it has a pair of new phones coming that put Facebook at the center of the devices. The new phones are called the Cloud Touch and the Cloud Q. Both of the phones have a homescreen with Facebook visual media feed, pictures, web pages, and newsfeed on it.

The phones will be the first to use the Facebook social graphic API to make it easy to keep up with the friends users interact with the most. The phones are going to land in the UK, the default music service is Spotify, and the devices have a dedicated Spotify key.

The Cloud touch has Android Froyo 2.2, email, IM, backup and sync functions and a 3.5" screen. The Cloud Q has many of the same features with a 2.6" screen and QWERTY keyboard. Both use a 600MHz Qualcomm 7227 chipset. Bot will be reasonably priced with the Touch landing in Q2 and the Q landing in Q3.
