Seagate has been in the storage business for years and year and is one of the largest companies in the market. It started to branch out of traditional storage along ago and moved into some storage products that would not only allow you to store you digital content, but play that content back to other devices as well. Two of those storage and steaming devices are the GoFlex TV and FreeAgent Theater+ HD.

Seagate has announced that it has a new app for both of the devices that will work on the iPhone. The app will allow the streaming of content from anywhere in the home using an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. The app looks like the interface for the media players IR remote according to Seagate.

Using the app the media player devices can be controlled from anywhere inside the home using WiFi. The app will let the user search and navigate through the photos on the media player and the network and will operate any and all media players on the user's WiFi network. The app is a free download.
