Epson PowerLite X9 projector launches

By: (more) | Displays & Projectors News | Posted: Feb 9, 2011 8:00 pm

Dell has announced a new PowerLite X9 multimedia projector. The projector is aimed at use in education environment, but it will be sold online and in stores so it will end up used for all sorts of things. It would be a nice little business projector for someone that needs lots of brightness at a lower price.

The X9 produces 2500 lumens of white, color light output, and has decent resolution for presentations. The native resolution is 1024 x 768. The 2500 lumens should be bright enough on a 3LCD projector that needs to be used in rooms with ambient light.

The lamp is good for 5000 hours; the projector has 1.2x optical zoom, and vertical keystone correction. The keystone is good for correcting up to +/- 30 degrees. The projector will launch in April at an MSRP of $599. You will probably be able to find it a bit cheaper than that once it's in stores.
