Kindle update from Amazon brings page numbers and more

Tweaks to sharing functions as well

Amazon has released another software update for their Kindle e-readers which brings a couple of features that owners have been clamoring for for some time.

The update will include actual page numbers will be added to many Kindle e-books to make reference and item lookup easier. Also, manymagazine and newspaper layouts are getting a new look for easier navigating and page turning. Other features like sharing book notes and highlighting with other Kindle readers as well as the ability to rate a book after you turn the last page will be implemented as well.

 

The update is available for manual download and installation from Amazon, with an official over the air release coming soon.
