eLocity 10-inch tablet pre-orders to start soon

By: (more) | Mobile Devices News | Posted: Feb 7, 2011 6:04 pm

Android tablets are hitting the market in droves and one of the first was the eLocity A7 last year. The little tablet had a 7-inch screen and ran Android as the OS with NVIDIA power under the hood. If that tablet was a bit too small for you, the larger 10-inch eLocity tablet will hit pre-order this month. Starting on February 15, you can pre-order at several websites.

The pre-order destinations will include Amazon, J&R, Tiger Direct, and B&H Photo. The A10 will come in three versions including a 4GB version for $399, 32GB for $599.99, and the 64GB version will sell for $699.99. All of the tablets will have the same hardware and features. They all have SD card slots for expansion of storage.

They will all run Android 2.2 and have the Tegra 2 T250 processor. The processor will be paired with 512MB of RAM, the screen has a resolution of 1366 x 768, and dual speakers are integrated. The rig has a 1.3MP front facing camera, WiFi, Bluetooth, USB port, and HDMI output as well. The A10 has the highest screen resolution available on a 10-inch IPS multi-touch screen.
