Superbowl 2011 is one of the most exciting times of the year for an Australian like me. I don't want the football action, but give me those $3 million, 30 second movie teasers that roll around each year and I'm a happy boy. This year is no different, we have the finale of Michael Bay's Transformers movies, JJ Abrams' Spielberg-ian Super 8 and Chris "Flame-On" Evans as Captain America. Check out the first trailer for Transformers: Dark of the Moon below:

Well, that was just off it's dial wasn't it? Looking forward to that a fair bit for turn-your-brain-off special effects pr0n. Next up we have JJ Abrams Super 8. I personally think it gets the 1980's feel just right and feels like Close Encounters mixed with The Goonies, with an entire new angle I'm sure we'll see from Abrams.

Next up we have Captain America, which I personally didn't have much faith on. But, the more I see, the more I like and this trailer is no different!

Down here we have Fast Five, which I'm excited to see also. The Rock saying "whatever you do, don't let them into a car" is enough for me to pull my wallet out and sell some organs to see it for just the entire BS tricks that happen in "Fast" movies.

Below we have Battle: Los Angeles, I have to admit - end of the Earth/Alien-invasion movies are one of my favourite genres and this just looks insane. 2011 is shaping up to be one of the best years for movies! This superbowl commercial is no different! But I do think the previous proper trailer was much better, this doesn't really get the movie-juices flowing.

Ah, Thor. I just can't see the main actor Chris Hemsworth convincing me he can act out side of the Australian drama, Home and Away. He also reminds me way too much of Sam Worthington who is another aussie who again, can easily play a tough guy - but is it just the touch guy formula. Piercing eyes looking at someone, the huge build? Below we have Thor:

Anthony joined the TweakTown team in 2010 and has since reviewed 100s of graphics cards. Anthony is a long time PC enthusiast with a passion of hate for games built around consoles. FPS gaming since the pre-Quake days, where you were insulted if you used a mouse to aim, he has been addicted to gaming and hardware ever since. Working in IT retail for 10 years gave him great experience with custom-built PCs. His addiction to GPU tech is unwavering and has recently taken a keen interest in artificial intelligence (AI) hardware.
