iPhone 4 sets Verizon first day sales record in two hours
Comment | Print | Email to a Friend | Font Size: AAIn an announcement that will shock nearly no one, Verizon has stated that pre-orders for the iPhone has set a new record for first day sales for the wireless company. The impressive part? It only took two hours to break the record.
Apparently a lot of people stayed up late to get their pre-orders in as the record was set from 3am-5am EST. Only current Verizon customers were able to get in on the early preorder opportunity, and they bought enough that Verizon has halted orders for the iPhone 4 until Wednesday. Non-Verizon customers still have to wait until next Thursday to make the switch. Sorry AT&T jumpers, supplies may be really limited by the time you're able to get in on the fun.
