AMD slices Radeon prices, introduces 1GB Radeon HD6950

AMD cut the prices on the HD6950, HD6850 and intro a new 1GB variant of the HD6950

AMD are dropping prices and introducing a new card just in time for NVIDIA's GTX560 Ti launch. The 1GB HD6950 variant will be priced at $259. The card is identical to the 2GB HD6950, except it has half the memory.

AMD have also cut prices on the 2GB HD6950, from $289 to $269 and the HD6850 has seen a cut from $239 to $219. Not bad at all, and even better if you were wondering what to buy, now you have plenty of choice from either company.
