By: (more) | Displays & Projectors News | Posted: Jan 18, 2011 5:22 pm

Epson has announced a new line of projectors that will slot into its range of education offerings that have some nice new features. The projectors should be perfectly acceptable for other uses in the home and office too. The new line includes the D6150, G6155W, and the D6250. The three projectors have many common features like a filter life of 10,000 hours and a lamp life of 5,000 hours.

The D6150 has 3500 lumens of color and white light output and XGA resolution. The D6155W has the same 3500 lumens of light output and has WXGA resolution. The D6250 bumps the brightness up to 4,000 lumens and has a XGA resolution. The projectors have the same connectivity with HDMI, USB plug and play, sound and mouse support over one cable, and the ability to give presentations directly from USB drives.

The projectors also have integrated Ethernet connectivity and can be fitted with an optional WiFi adapter for wireless networking. Side-by-side screen tech is built-in and the projectors have lots of adjustability for screen settings. Lenses used on the projectors have 1.6x optical zoom and the projectors use 3LCD tech for image quality. The 6150 will sell for $1649, the 6155W sells for $1799, and the D6250 sells for $1799 with all three shipping in April.
