We hear government workers accused of a lot of things and rarely is one of those things being fast. The FCC is like anyone else and when the holidays come around they slow down and enjoy the time by slacking a bit. The FCC is apparently backed up on paper work having to do with issuing the all important FCC and CE numbers to gadgets looking to launch.

That means that anything that is sitting in a warehouse waiting for these numbers to head out the door to the waiting geek masses can't ship until the numbers come in. This is the case with the cool Notion Ink Adam tablet. The new tablet has been up for pre-order and was expected to go out really soon.

Notion Ink has sent an email around to people that pre-ordered to tell them that the FCC is backed up giving the numbers it needs to ship. However, Notion Ink does say that the numbers should be here this week so hopefully the delay won't last long.
