Rahul Sood leaves HP for Microsoft

By: (more) | Laptops News | Posted: Dec 22, 2010 7:08 pm

If you have been around the world of PC gaming for long, you might recognize the name Rahul Sood. Sood is the dude that launched the VoodooPC gaming PC maker back in 1991. The company made some really cool gaming notebooks and desktops that were crazy expensive for the most part. HP eventually purchased the company in 2006.

When HP bought Voodoo, Sood moved to HP as the CTO of HP's gaming side of things and proceeded to put the Voodoo name on some HP gear. It appears Sood's time at HP is done. Sood has posted to his personal page that he will be leaving HP for Microsoft in January.

Sood says that he will be moving to Microsoft to act as their GM for System Experience in the Interactive Entertainment business. Exactly what that position will entail is anyone's guess. Sood says, "I'll be working on some really....really...really cool stuff come January 2011."
