Mobile App of the Day: Swype for Android

By: (more) | Mobile Devices News | Posted: Dec 21, 2010 5:46 am

Our Mobile App of the Day today is Swype for Android.

Swype has been a favorite alternative to the native keyboard for many iPhone jailbreakers as well as those who were lucky enough to get in on the invite-only beta on the Android side. Good news has just been released as the Swype beta has now been opened up for all comers.

For those not in the know, Swype allows you to trace your finger or stylus across letters to form words while writing and will correct them for you instead of having to touch type. The corrention rate is really good, and you find yourself never wanting to touch type again on your touchscreen keyboard. You have to register with the site and download the beta via a link in the activation email, so just click here to get started!
