XFX launches new Radeon HD 6970 and HD 6950 video cards

Today marked the official launch of the AMD Radeon HD 6970 and 6950 video cards. With the cards officially on the market, the card partners have been tossing out their branded offerings today and reviews have been pouring in of the new video cards. If you are an XFX fan, the company has unveiled its 6950 and 6970 video cards.

 

 

The XFX 6970 video card has 2GB of GDDR5 RAM and supports AMD HD3D technology among other things. The card has HDMI 1.4 and DisplayPort connectivity. The GPU clock is 880MHz and the memory is clocked at 5500MHz. The memory interface is 256-bit and the card uses a dual slot design.

 

The HD 6950 from XFX supports the same main features and connectivity with different clock speeds. The 6950 has the same 2GB of RAM with a clock speed of 5000MHz. The GPU clock for the 6950 is 800MHz and the memory interface is 256-bit. This card is a dual slot offering as well. These cards should be popular with gamers preferring AMD parts.
