Google releases Maps demo with 3D buildings

Samsung Nexus S used in demo

| Mobile Devices News | Posted: Dec 14, 2010 5:42 am

Google Maps is getting a lot more fun to play with. Check out Ken Norton's demo of the latest version of Google Maps on a Samsung Nexus S, complete with 3D fun.

Spinning the map with 3D buildings looks kind of fun, and you can also center the map on your location and enter compass mode to move in sync with just a couple of clicks. Street View, navigation, as well as things like live traffic info are also accessible. Google Maps is definitely looking to make smartphone owners kick their GPS to the curb.
