Gingerbread ROMs beginning to trickle out from the Android rooting community

By: (more) | Mobile Devices News | Posted: Dec 11, 2010 12:21 am

When it comes to Android hacking, no one gets it done quite like the folks over at XDA-Dev. They're at it again; this time with the beginnings of Android 2.3 "Gingerbread" ROMs for nine different Android phones.

The phones currently included on the list are the Droid Eris and eight HTC devices, including the Eris, Hero, CDMA Hero, Desire, Wildfire, EVO 4G, Incredible, and Sapphire. The developers are warning that these builds are in the VERY early stages and prone to missing features and other general unfriendliness to the casual rooter. If you've got one of these devices and are feeling brave, hit up the Source Link for downloads and instructions.
