Speakal is well known for making some crazy speaker docks for the iPhone, iPod and other MP3 players. The company has the iPig, iPanda, iBoo, and other docks that look like flowers or soccer balls. I have used Speakal products before and they actually sound good even if the look a bit strange. Speakal has announced a new device today called the Cool iPig.

The Cool iPig is a lot like the original iPig but with a different design that is a bit edgier. The new Cool iPig gets elongated eyes that look like sunglasses to me. Those eyes are the speakers and the nose has the controls for the tracks and more. The ears on top have motion controls for volume and other functions. The device can dock the iPhone and dockable iPod devices.

Devices that can't dock can connect to the Cool iPig using a 3.5mm headphone adapter. The pig hides a 2.1 speaker system with 23W of power total and it has adjustable bass. The dock can also be connected to a TV and has a removable rechargeable battery for use on the go. Other features include a wireless remote. You can order one now for about $150 at an introductory price.
