Netflix and Disney-ABC sign streaming deal for programs

Netflix gets more programs for streaming

| HT & Movies News | Posted: Dec 9, 2010 6:04 pm

Netflix is constantly looking to build up the library of streaming offerings that it has on offer to its subscribers. You can bet that the search for more content is at a fevered pitch with the recent addition of a streaming only offering for Netflix members. Netflix has now announced that it has signed a very important new streaming deal with Disney-ABC that will see many of the popular shows from ABC and Disney coming to the streaming service.

The new agreement gives Netflix access to hundreds of shows from ABC, Disney Channel, and ABC Family. The deal has a caveat though, the programs will be offered no sooner than 15-days after they initially air on the network. That means if you miss an episode you will have to wait at least 15 days to see it via Netflix.

The streaming content includes prior season of Grey's Anatomy, Desperate Housewives, and Brothers & Sisters. The deal also includes every episode of Lost and Ugly Betty as well. Other additions include Scrubs, Reaper, Phineas and Ferb, Good Luck Charlie, Hannah Montana and more. The deal also covers popular flicks from Disney Channel like Camp Rock 2 and others.
