By: (more) | Laptops News | Posted: Nov 29, 2010 7:00 pm

Acer and Gateway have been part of the same company for a while now and the extra reach that Gateway bought to Acer helped the company to grow significantly in the notebook market. A new Gateway notebook is headed to Japan that has some nice features and is a rather green offering as well. The machine is the Gateway EC19C-A52C/S notebook.

The little rig is an ultraportable with an 11.6-inch screen boasting LED backlighting and a screen resolution of 1366 x 768. Other features include an Intel Core i5-470UM processor running at 1.33GHz and sporting Intel Turbo Boost. It has 2GB of RAM, 320GB of storage, and a six-cell battery. The little machine weighs 3-pounds and measures 1.14" x 11.2" x 8".

It has several USB ports, HDMI out, VGA out, and an Ethernet port. It also has audio in and mic ports as well as a 1.3MP webcam, memory card reader, WiFi, and Bluetooth. The notebook will go on sale tomorrow at an unknown price. The little machine should offer up some nice performance.
