The BIOS capable of 800MHz BUS is here

By: (more) | Posted: Jun 21, 2002 5:54 am

Soltek has sent us along the BIOS for the SL-95MIR motherboard following our report about it a couple of days ago. Earlier this week the Taiwanese company let us know their latest BIOS for their Intel 845G series of motherboards allows for an overclocked FSB of 200MHz, while maintaining an AGP clock of 66MHz and PCI clock of 33MHz.

The AG1.3 version of the BIOS with the Pentium 4's quad-pumped architecture allows for an amazing 800MHz FSB. Soltek recently sent us a copy of the BIOS and we've uploaded it to our servers for download. The file is 525kb in size and can be downloaded here. Please note this BIOS should only be used with the Soltek SL-95MIR motherboard. If you have a SL-95MIR feel free to let us know the performance increase, we'll post all the details up here.
