Hitachi were the first to reveal a 7200RPM, 2TB drive and now it has done it again with the 3TB.

It comes in the model of Deskstar 7K3000 - which is not just 7200RPM but also SATA3/6Gbps. 5 platters, 64MB cache and an idle power draw of 6.8W which Hitachi describe as an eco-friendly, halogen-free design. It won't impress your girlfriend, but your friends will think you're cool.
